One of the guys on here did some from sticky back foam for me I photo copied them as templates so print this full size a4 and use them as a template. I'd appreciate some advice as I'm doing this job on my Z1000A1. Are the steel dowels supposed to bottom out when the clocks are tightened up? Thanks ...

I had an R100GS that had the same symptoms. It turned out to be running lean at idle.
