Stradas are actually ok, and have the advantage of being rebuildable in your own garage! There are a couple of limitations though, in that you may struggle to find springs to fit as you will find them to be too softly sprung (mine were for me - 16ish stone on my J) and without changing shims the com...

Thanks Philippe. It looks to be easily doable on the Friday from the ferry to Zeebrugge, Rotterdam or even Ijmuiden at a push then.

Where in Belgium is it? I might just be up for it, particularly as I don't think I'll make the Yorkshire Rally this year but I'll have to see nearer the time.

Yes, and it's a shame that Kipkawa closed their doors entirely as you may have been able to find out who their supplier was....

I believe that Green Garage in Japan are having replica calipers made. They're not cheap, but unless you can find a set of old Kipkawa ones they may be your only hope?
