The simple answer is yes. The actual speedo unit is interchangeable. No need to change the front wheel speedo drive. The 150mph speedo, from the Kawasaki GT750 and Gpz750R1, can be used. Just sold my A1 but the new owner wants to change the front brake and clutch levers as he has small hands. Use the Kawasaki GT550 bracket (32074-1046) available from Kawasaki UK. Not quite as tall as original Gpz, R2 etc but you'll not notice.
They're about £9 btw

I've made a small batch of the carb connection plate for the late Z900 and early Z1000. Made from steel and bright zinc plated.
