Low Compression Engine

Looking for advice here!, i have a Z1000 MK engine with 1197 displacement and 7.8:1 MTC flat top turbo pistons. Question is can I use this for non-turbo with larger carbs and what are the consequences in running with the lower compression or is it not advisable and better to replace the pistons? Any...

Sgt.Pinback wrote:MK2 and H fuel tanks look similar but have different part numbers (apart from the paint code, of course).

MK2 is 51001-1011
H is 51001- 1046

Any idea what´s the difference?

The H tank has a mounting boss for the fuel return NRV on the right hand side (opposite side from fuel tap).

Re: Z1 exhaust baffle

It appears that the replacement pipe I bought is from a Kz900 as these won’t fit, I pulled one of the original pipes and it is the one in the picture. So what does a kz900 one look like???

I am missing the perforated tube on one pipe, looks like it’s even cut off from the end cap....sounds terrible, is there an aftermarket pattern part available?
Cheers

look like they could be tags from a motorcycle courier delivery.....don't know why they would end up in a petrol tank though!

Re: 1975 Z1 shocks

I never got as far as the checkout when it’s happened to me before. It flags it up straight away when I hit the buy button saying it’s restricted.

Re: 1975 Z1 shocks

I have had that before with shocks from USA. Also petrol tanks.
Get the seller to re advertise them as springs.... it won’t flag up on the USPS system as restricted
