Re: Rev Counter Refurb Needed

How do you get the crimp rings off without damaging them. Is there a special tool?

Alpha or Piper exhaust

Can anyone advise? Remember the old 4-1 pipes, which one came out on the left (looking forward)… alpha or piper or both?

Re: Carb ID

Searching around, think they are from GT550, so don't know why someone would put them on a Z1000, bike came with a decent set of original carbs, maybe the guy was going to swap them

Re: Putting an early rounded cam cover on a Mk2 type engine = ADVANCED inlet cam timing..... ?

The MK2 and H cam chain idlers are different from other z’s .they are cranked over forward facing so the top of the sprocket is exposed and not covered by the frame. Same as Z650 I believe

Re: wheel ID

I actually just saw an ST wheel on ebay with seven bolts (and then another with 4 bolts) so now i am thoroughly confused!...so they both might be J/1100 then?

There is no image on the CSMNL website for ST wheels
