Re: Number plate
Sorry ment to say 8x6 not 8x5.
I get mine from evilbay but it's getting harder because some want proof of the v5, most classic bike shows have someone making 'show plates'

Re: Z1 number plate
If you've 7 digits 9x7 is the legal size but I always use 8x6 and never had a problem, sometimes the mot guy mentions it but I simply swop to the bigger size then change it back when I get home.

Re: Sticky Clutch
Most of mine do it, if you've a centre stand put it on that and start it, then put it in gear ,( before you start it if possible), then pull the clutch lever in then press the rear brake pedal.

Re: Z1000j clutch release pully thing
Just had a close look at everything, the clutch cable was adjusted quite a lot in having slack taken out, so that to be able to fit the nipple into the lever arm it was already pulling it up the ramp. I've fully slackened off the cable and hopefully it might be ok, cant try it yet because the spring...

Re: Z1000j clutch release pully thing
Thanks for the help guys, I noticed the cms one looks shorter, I'm going to have another look at everything, I do have another cover from another engine but the mechanism on that one is bolted in, this one (the housing that the ramp plate fits into) is cast into the cover.

Don't suppose anyone has one of these they want to sell. Mine slips round on the ball bearings, it's done it twice now and if I sell the bike I want it to be right. I presume its worn by the looks of it.Looking at new ones they look very similar to mine, what else would cause it to slip round when i...

Re: Z1000j Lawson rep
I was going to race it myself, I've a tuned engine (you can see it in the picture) built by Graham at diptune that I was going to fit but things changed and I never got round to it. The more I look at it the more I want to keep it. I'm going to get the seat unit out the loft later and remove the ind...

Time has come to sell some of my collection, due to medical conditions I can no longer ride it. It was built by a fellow club member a few years ago and there's a write-up in a club mag aswell as being on the club stand at Stafford. There's a memory stick with photos of the build etc etc. It's done ...
