Hi Guyz thanx for all the info, help, advice and support. I'd certainly be interested in the rear sets Adrian. I'm still hoping to "modify" the 4 into 4 to fit the Scorpion frame, so I'm not really interested in the side winder. I'm intrigued and interested in this upside down engine idea....

I will measure everything up tomorrow as I have an old 73 900 too.

I might use this engine for the Scorpion and put the 1000 motor into the 73.

Even though it is 100cc smaller it should still be an improvement over the original 250 motor.

I had one a few years ago.

I bought it for £550 at an auction selling off MOD equipment. It was still in its original camouflage paint work.

I parked it up one day and could never find it again!

I'm going to modify my Z250 Scorpion, 1980 W reg.

Can any one tell me if an engine out of a Z1000 will fit and if so what other mods will I need to do?? I'm hoping to fit a brand new genuine Kawasaki 4 in to 4 exhaust system to it as well ?

I took my baffles out a few weeks ago, mine were the "pea shooter" type too.

Just unbolted them and wiggled them with pliers on the pipe protruding from the end. Out they came.
