If its a 4-1 as well as hi-flo filters, this can lean things out a tad more, but I'd still think 10% increase should be a good starting point
The 4-1 should be less restrictive, so in theory, allow more mixture to flow, therefore an increase in fuel & air must be catered for :|

As for jetting, go up 10% on mains to start with to be safe. Is that with a 4-1 pipe too :?:

My CSR has that emmissions pants too. I removed the reeds, cut a couple of bits of 3mm ally plate and used a bit of gasket sealer to block the reed holes. Load of of USA twaddle

As Padders says, you can only get 1st & neutral when stationary! To get 2nd onwards, you must be moving (with engine running - DERRRR!). The gearbox has a ball bearing which stops 2nd being selected, unless things are moving, ie: you're actually riding the bike :!:  My Zed is difficult to ...

Dave M, do a 'search' mate, theres a ton of info (some quite recently) on this subject. Most modern mineral oil seem OK in a Zed. Full synthetic may lead to a slipping clutch :?:  But not always :!: Main thing is regular oil & filter changes (I use top quality mineral - Kendalls or...

travelingman, its probably just vibrating on its bracket
You may have to undo it and put some rubber washers, or pads to reduce the 'buzzing' noise. My clocks do it sometimes too :!: old Zeds tend to produce a few high pitch vibes

john_roscoe, I'd try cutting a bit off (1/2 inch or so) and see what happens.
If ur planning to ditch em anyhow, nothing ventured, nothing gained :!:
Damping will also stiffen things up a bit, so try a 5w fork oil, maybe a tad less than recommended :?:
Are tyre pressures OK too :?:

Assume shes spinning over normal speed (not sluggish s/motor). Zeds being air cooled tend to get a bit hot, so fuel vapourisation is not uncommon. The fuel evaporates from the carbs, thus emptying them a bit, so sometimes need a few turns to prime 'em again :| Other than that, could be electrical :?...
