Re: why zeds dont handle
I have never seen or ridden any bike that did that, even in the days before I became built for comfort not speed. :D I strongly suspect those were engineered to do that with dodgy suspension and/or tyres. Then again, it was a Dunlop advert - they were shockingly bad tyres so maybe that IS what bikes...

Re: Deep braced swingarm
I have a Metmachex that I bought for my Z650, but ended up fitting another one in the end so this one has been an ongoing project really. Its not a deep brace though - its shallow brace. Its like the one pictured, if its any good I will dig it out and take photos of the actual item - it would need p...

Re: z1000 shocks , Hagon V Z power classic type
One pertinent question would be - Are you actually riding the bike, or just showing it ?
Riding = YSS
Showing or looking = Z Power

Re: Re Fitting tyre stoppers to lester rear mag
Tyre stoppers/tyre grabbers/rim locks/wheel grabbers - multiple names for the same things :wink: I used some M8 button head screws and nuts on my alloy wheel. There is no need for rim locks fitting anyway, the old Zeds would struggle to remove rice pudding skin, let alone tear valves out of tubes :)...

Re: Z1000 a1 alloy wheels
Z650C alloy wheels (discs all round) will go in with minimal work and there are plenty about. Change of bearings on the rear to get to the correct axle size, assuming you are running a stock swingarm ? but other than that, its pretty straight forward. Just check the disc sizing - some later Z650's h...

Re: Pod filters
I had cheap pod filters on my ZRX, they looked cheap too. The bike came with 'em on cos it had been converted to monoshock and had no air filter box. It also had a stage 3 dynojet kit. It used to spit and cough a bit on medium throttle openings. I junked the pattern pods and bought some refreshingly...

Re: MARZOCCHI AG STRADA
The rebuild kits dried up a few years ago now. They do appear on Ebay occasionally but at comedy money. I have seen em advertised at well over 150 quid !! You could get in touch with THIS COMPANY and see whats available from them, they dont look as comprehensive as the older kits, but it looks like ...

Re: Carbs still leaking !
If the float needles are allowing fuel past, then fitting new gaskets will not fix the problem. It may however allow the fuel to flood into the engine via the inlet tracts and cause major issues. You need to discover WHY the float needles are not stopping the flow. Pattern parts are nearly always pr...

I love the 1000J's, that one looks very clean too...but I could not get past the colour, it's horrid (IMO). It'd have to be painted
