Agree with Russ, these "safety cut-out" switches can be a pain, I always remove ,em from any of my bikes. Some of the side-stand switches have 3 wires, and only 2 need joining (eg: GSXR) so you'll need to check wiring diagram :? Check these out first, and kill switch, along with fuses &...

Hi BIGVERN, where you based :?: As you've rightly deducted, running rich  All you can do is get those carbs thoroughly cleaned out :| Re check float valves & heights. Sounds like pilot system is blocked. When you had the first run, the gunk in the carbs probably loosened & is now bloc...

Kev, u gotta do timing when it is in 'full advance'. That means you have to turn the trigger to set at max advance then set timing. This will ensure the timings correct at full advance, which is the most critical thing :!: It is a bit of a fiddle, and it may be worth marking TDC clearly and 40 deg B...

North Devon Kawasaki Meeting?????

Just back from a week in North Devon and by chance, went to Exford, in the middle of the Exmoor National Park and stumbled across the first ever annual Exmoor Kawasaki meeting  http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g95/markwakz1a/July07Hols017.jpg Couldn't find any members tho, only a group of fa...

There are slots at the ends of the cams, these should be pointing in opposite directions. When setting up timing they usually both point outwards

Good point Russ, but must admit, Jerry does include the odd non-standard when there is enough space. As the shows are flying the flag for Z1OC it is a fair deal to have the more immaculate bikes as first dibs :!: I do prefer to see the modded bikes tho, this goes for any make, except H***A's & M...
