Well finally my powdercoater finished my frame and said rest of stuff ready next week. He let me bring the frame home and I have made some progress at last by putting frame onto the engine and trying a few bits on. http://i878.photobucket.com/albums/ab344/Croftyz650/th_P8060037.jpg While at powderc...

Maybe cos the paint technology that exists now - did not exist back then ?

Kawasaki certainly came up with some stunning colours, but the quality of the paint they used was shite. They faded and changed colour very quickly in many cases.

http://www.rsbikepaint.com/en-gb/colours.php are brilliant, even if they do not list a colour they can often get it mixed up. Aerosol or touch up as you wish :) I just has some Candy Super Red aerosol come through for a spare side panel I wanted to paint and it IS a very very good match :) ( my pain...

I've never had a problem with Vesrah stem seals and I have used at least 3 sets on 3 different bikes ....(two Z650's and a GS750)

Vesrah source all their parts from the OE manufacturers in Japan, that's why they are always so good.

Yeah the 365mm shox do shove the back up, but not so as it starts looking silly I dont think. It's only about 1.5/1.75" over stock anyway and when someone is on it, it just squats down as normal. If I didn't tell anyone, I doubt they would even notice as the bike is not stock anyway  Real...

My Metmachex low brace swinger uses standard spacers on the Metmachex wheel spindle ( the spindle is keyed to work with the concentric adjusters) and has needle rollers at the pivot end.

They are all much of a muchness anyway. Metmachex, JMC. etc

Davida's tend to be a bit more rare and I haven't seen a braced aluminium coloured one, only black - but that's not to say they never existed.

No mine is a disc rear. The only difference in swingarm though is one has a torque arm fixing on the top (disc type) and one on the bottom. It's easy to swap em over if you can access a welder. I am on stock size 120/90 x 18 rear at the moment but I do want to go to 17" front and rear. I have j...
