Service limit is 0.1mm. I have seen some people open it to 0.15mm with no problems except a bit of noise.

Im no expert :cry: But hows it possible to have compression & no vacuum. If the valves gaps are to tight there would be no compression.If they are to big may be a bit tappy.But would still be ok to work even if not at its best. Is there a vacuum circuit in the carb that could be block :?: Good ...

Valve timing looks spot on at the cam sprockets assuming 1 & 4 TDC position

Hi John, I have never used one of these tools but i can see now how you could turn the cam through 360. I still can't see it being valves if you are getting 150 PSI also you must have suction on 1 and 2 to build this kind of pressure?

Hi, no the carbs have only been statically balanced atm. Need to get the bike on the road and to a MOT station, and then get the carbs balanced. I don't own vacuum gauges anymore as someone borrowed them, for good :/ Static balancing should be fairly close. Some people prefer this method to vacuum ...

Compression test is always a good idea on these old bikes. Better still a leak down test if you can get one. Have you balanced the carbs recently?
