Couldn't resist it today - Such a nice sunny day so battery back on and started her up after 3 months or so in winter hibernation, then out for a 20 miles or so run - Ran like a dream !!

Thinking of getting a WSM for my 1979 Reg Z1000 A2 - The only Haynes manual I can see states its for "900 and 1000 Fours from 1973 to 1977" - is this still the correct one for my bike ? Although my was Reg in 79 I assume it was actually a 1978 build as it defo one of the last A2's - Cheers...

Thanks - These state resistor type - Are they ok with non resistor NGK B8ES plugs ?

Think I need to replace a cap on my 79 Z1000 A2 so will do all 4 I think - If I replace like for like with NGK caps, which ones do I need and are the inner/outer ones the same ? Also are there any tips on fitting ie do you simply unscrew the old and screw on the new ones ? Thanks all.

Has anyone fitted a steering damper ? Wondered what the real benefits were for my 79 Z1000 A2 ? Would the oil cooler i have fitted be a problem for fitting ? Cheers all

79 Z1000 A2 - Recent slight problems starting her up after being left in garage for say a week or so and of course no cold weather to blame - Seems to take about 30 seconds or so of turnover to start.My starting action is to start with no choke and then gradually feed choke in etc.Once it starts it'...
