Is the recess for one bearing deeper than the other? My carriers both stick out from the main tube by the same amount each side and the recess the roller bearing sits in is the same depth both sides. If your roller recss is shallower one side then I'say the thinner carrier fits that side to achieve ...

How different are they? I'm just working on a 650 one which I'm pretty certain is the same as a 900 one. It fits a 650 frame and a 3 spoke CMA 900 wheel so guess they are? My carriers are both the same with a 10 thou shim between the roller face and the "o" ring carrier on the chain side b...

It seems likely to be more hassle than its worth. I'll just get the airbrush out when it warms up a bit.

yeah I have. I can run my compressor at 120psi all day long but found that soda alone wasn't abrasive enough to get stuff that had been hot (ie barrels/heads etc) nice and clean. Best solution I've found is to first use kiln dried sand through the gun. The stuff you get for £5 a big bag from wickes...

There's a guy in borough green in kent who mostly does restoration chroming for RR, Bentley and Astons. I went and saw him when i needed some bits done. He had lots of bikebits in there for various finishes. He only does triple chrome plating because thats what all the top end car boys want. He also...

Hhhmmmmmmm. Now I'm confused! Mine was H1 (1989) which I got in 92. That says the first to have ram air was L1, L2 & L3 in 1993. Mine definately had ram air so must have the airbox swopped a year before it was available :?: and thats assuming it was possible to fit it!

Guys, the image works and bike stickers are the same people. Already tried them but because I only need the fairing set theirs won't match the rest of the bike colours. (Their words not mine).

Cooling the engine sounds reasonable but mine definately conected to the air box. I know because it was a bastard trying to cnnect all the pipes and get the tank back on at the same time.

Those hover pipes are just decoration I think. The ones I have seen just clip onto the tank. There is no feed into the airbox. They definitely had a air passageway through the tank that they clipped onto and under the tank they continued to the air box on mine. The "allegedly" part was if...
