You’re not getting rid of the coils you’re just moving them nearer to the plugs. You’re just getting rid of the leads.

You can hang on to that for as long as you want to, I guarantee you will never need it, you throw it away and within a month you will not only need it, but you will find they are are like rocking horse pooh. It doesn’t take up much space so treasure it. Signed, a self confessed hoarder.

I had the same problem in the end I put a big cable tie on it to stop the seat hitting the side panel the brackets for the little stay rod is not on my bike a,Z1000A1 I will be interested to see how it should be.

I may be wrong but I think there are two different thickness of pads depending on wether you have twin discs (thinner discs) Someone more knowledgable may give you more info.

When the Optimate gives you battery condition, it is based entirely on battery voltage,so 12.87 would be fully charged. Voltage is probably the least accurate way of checking battery condition, it probably has sulphated plates and if you measured the current it is absorbing it would be very low, so ...
