Re: Ex drag bike back on the road

Lovin' this build. Some superb work going on here.
Some of it looks kinda familiar.....just wish mine had a turbo  .

Keep up the great work. I'll be following this one with interest.

Z650 Rearsets. Drum brake type.

Hi,

Would anyone have a set of period rearsets to suit a Kawasaki Z650, drum brake type, that they are willing to part with.

Thanks,

Paul

Kawasaki Z650 C3 front brake calliper body

Hi guys, Any of you got a spare Kawasaki Z650 C3 front brake calliper body going begging. I only need the body. I started stripping the paint off one that came with the bike (this is going on my cafe racer so will be polishing anyway) and found a botched repair that won’t polish out. I’m assuming th...

Re: Z650 Special...not for the purist.

A couple of photos showing the latest `dry` build status. The fabrication of the tank is underway. It uses the existing Z650 tank as the base. This allows me to pick up on all the existing location features on the frame. The carb bodies have been ultrasonically cleaned and a light vapour blast. No i...

Re: Z650 Special...not for the purist.

Another good day in the garage yesterday. Dry build of the exhaust and also set about some of the outer casings with the polisher.

Re: Z650 Special...not for the purist.

Well it’s been quite a while since the last update. This lockdown and the fact that I’m on Furlough leave has meant I’ve been able to spend a lot of time in the garage working on project 650. Over the last few months I’ve been scouring the internet for parts and was able to start thinking about begi...

Kawasaki Z650 Clocks....SOLD

Nice set of Z650 Clocks off a 1979 C3. These were in the box of parts that came with a basket case bike I am modifying and these clocks are surplus to requirements. I can't vouch as to their working condition as I've not had them on a running bike, but they look really nice...please see the photos. ...

Re: Z1R Airbox

It’s a Marving Paul...because of its fixing point on the frame you can angle it upwards on an A4...on a Z1 it tends to lie flatter.

Replaced with a new patent set but transpires the problem was a short, under load, it the fuse box loom !! £60.00 + P+P....I'm in Crawley, West Sussex if pick up pre...

Z1R Airbox

Hi Guys, I stuck a piece on the `Bike Help` section yesterday to try to identify the airbox I removed from my Z900-A4 a while back having now fitted bellmouths. It transpires it's from a Z1R, but has the California style US intake. I was hoping it was a genuine Z900-A4 version and I was going to be ...
