Z1b carbs spares or repair

I have some z1b carbs for sale that came to me with a modified gs1000 engine, I’ve tested them on the Suzuki engine and they work well with no leaks. Now the bad news, the alloy main body that holds the carbs has been cut down to suit the Suzuki engine and so the carbs do not have any idle adjustmen...

Re: New shed

The z1r moriwaki tribute bike is starting from a z1000h frame, ideal for this type of project as it has the more strengthened frame with the double skinned down tubes, I’ll be adding some more strengthening as it goes along, I’ll also need to reinstate the seat mounting hardware and some lugs and fi...

Re: New shed

We also had a brilliant few days on our first trip to the Manx, I’d adapted what I think is an old z1000 grab rail to fit the 650…..and we hooned around the island watching some great racing and meeting lots of like minded souls….

Re: New shed

:D Thanks Philippe Unfortunately I’ve had to sell the round tank project bike due to an unforeseen breakdown with my van, not exactly how I’d planned things but such is life….. I have kept the engine which is ready to rebuild, sep had been struggling with the crankshaft rebuild so I ended up buying ...

I've still got loads of z650 engine spares and a few other bits and pieces kicking around, if you're over Whitchurch way again at some point give me a shout and pop in for a brew mate

Lovely looking 1100 :up
Have you got a link to the fuel filter by any chance please?
I’m running a couple of 750 turbos and the fuel filter is the same for all the old Kawasaki fuel injection bikes

Re: New shed

The rotor puller I ordered has finally arrived so now I’ve stripped the bottom end, it all came apart quite nicely considering how difficult the top end was to remove, looks like the bottom hasn’t been opened before. Crankshaft is now on its way to sep kegworth for it’s rebuild. C98515BA-FD4C-4A1B-8...

Re: New shed

Cheers mark

I’m still not sure just yet, waiting to see how much money needs throwing in to the motor first…..I had originally planned to use it for a z1r moriwaki tribute but the current bodywork is growing on me, maybe I could make it interchangeable :)

New shed

It’s been a while since I posted much on here due mainly to moving house and a fleeting affair with a Suzuki powered moto Martin…. But here we go again, back on the zeds now I’ve finished building a new shed only made possible by 5 weeks off work during the first lockdown, thankfully my local timber...

Re: Z1000 cylinder head mk2/st/h/g

It’s just a bare head with cam caps rob, my cams and bushes look ok, valves fitted would be a bonus but I could probably reuse the the ones in the damaged head I’ve got here…..mines also got blanking plates over the injection ports, I’ll be fitting carbs.
Cheers
