Cheers Guys. Sounds like a fun day off for me tomorrow.

Pasc - thanks for the offer - I will pop in to Swindon tomorrow and see what Machine Mart has to offer. Failing that I will take you up on your kind offer. Will PM you if needed.

Martin

Not coils but still not running on all 4 cylinders

Traced the coil issue to a dodgy connection on LT side. Also sorted out leaking cam cover but have now found something more worrying. We now have big, fat sparks on all 4 cylinders. It starts on the button but runs like a dog under load and is definitely not running on all 4 cylinders. It is also sp...

Coils (i think) on Z1000R

Took my Lawson out for it's 1st run since rebuild at the weekend. Apart from a huge oil leak around the rocker cover everything seemed fine until about a mile down the road I started to run on only 2 cylinders. Pulling off plug leads it appears that it is only running on 2 and 3 cylinders so I suspe...

The best way to bleed brake or clutch lines when completely drained of fluid is a progressive approach through the system. Make sure the reservoir is topped up and the pump the pedal about 5 times. Get someone to hold the pedal down whilst you loosen the union on the brake pipe closest to the reserv...

Anyone identify what this is from??

http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/pp174/stevensmj/P1010926.jpg It's the slave cylinder on a hydraulic clutch conversion I bought a while ago. Can't get hold of the person who made it so no idea what the donor bike was and it is pissing fluid around the piston. Need a clue so i can go get either ne...

Finally got 5 minutes to focus on this and here is where I have got to. It starts on the button and I could not resist a sneaky blast up the road whilst no one was looking. Happily it goes in to gear and front brakes work a treat. Back brake is still on the "to-do" list as is a stop light,...

Rob, I got a race baffle in mine. It came from Kipkawa and cost about £40. To be honest they could be done under trades descriptions because it more of a sleeve to take the internal dimension of the tail pipe down. It certainly doesn't "silence" in anyway!! Made my old Harris appear quiet...

Thanks for all the kind comments and, yes, can't wait to give it test ride up the road. Lack of rear sprocket and brakes are some what limiting though! Mark - no idea on jet sizes. I bought the carbs off someone running a GPz1100 with same big bore kit (1260) on US eBay last year and I thought I wou...

Bought a new battery today. Filled the motor with oil, connected the battery and stuck half a gallon of new petrol in the fuel tank and thought let's see what happens..... Engine started almost immediately and it sounds an absolute beaut! The combination of inlet roar from the RS carbs and the oh so...

I've got a set of 110 grind web cams. They are on eBay at the moment. Item number 110404883538 There is a bid on them but might be able to end early if a member wants them. They are new and part number is for all 900/1000/1100 to 1984. Let me know ASAP if interested. Cost me $450 plus tax last year.

Chain length - modified Lawson and splitter/rivetting tool

How do I measure what length of chain I need? Back end is ZRX 1100 swinging arm. Can't use the old chain as it has gone missing somewhere..... Can anyone loan me a chain splitter/rivetting tool please? They appear to cost a fortune and I guess it is not something that will see regular use. Thanks in...
