Very Nice.... What's the plan.... Back to standard or further mods?. Think I’ll live with it as is for now, maybe just give give it a general polish and tidy up. Don’t fancy the time and expense of restoring it back to standard. Wouldn't take that much 'time' wise, ie new paint, pipes and a correct...

You'll be fine with the two 7mm, from memory earlier Z1's were this anyway. It was only the introduction of the A4 which reduced to 5mm for (as you say) the unsprung weight.

Most people go powdercoat on the frame etc even though original finish was Paint. Powdercoat is much more durable but some powdercoaters lay it on to thick and it can look 'gloopy'..
