Re: My CBX build

While all this work was being done I was asking round about a sprayer for the tank and plastics. I wanted someone who was used to doing CBX's, obviously Dream Machine's name was mentioned but they are too hit-and-miss now, I heard that they have 30+ sprayers and all these sprayers can't be as good a...

Re: My CBX build

Bike was almost fully stripped. IMG_0664.JPG Next was refurbing the wheels, tyre's were removed and the wheels were put in a 4 jaw chuck on the big lathe. They are anodized I think but they came up fairly well using wet and dry down to about 800 grade and then finishing with Autosol. New boot on the...

Re: My CBX build

I thought it best to do the carbs first, this is one of the Achilles heel's of the CBX - it has lots :( Somewhere in here are the offending items; IMG_0591.JPG To get the carbs out you need to follow a procedure, starting with the rear wheel spindle - I kid you not :D First you loosen the rear wheel...

Hi Tim, it was a couple of years ago but I think it was "bikesure" - not 100% on that though.

My CBX build

OK peeps, spent a bit of time sorting piccys out and will put together a post on the CBX build. I know it's not a Kwak, but it's still a labour of love and, like some of the bikes on here, was nice to try to get such an iconic bike back to it's former glory. There were problems and solutions on the ...

Hi Chris, if there is enough interest I could start one.
A lot of the problems I had with the CBX would be similar to ones on a Z I think.

He is making a frame for Ian Foster, who probably knows more about CBX's than anyone on the planet, I think the bike build is up to four or five years the last time I emailed him. There...

Be interested to see your CBX when it's complete!

Hi Nigel, thanks for that, your A5 was at the wrong time for me as I hadn't sold my other bikes. Been looking, jealously, at your latest acquisition. Nice one pal :D

Re: Hi from North Wales

By chance Russ did you see the article on CBX's on the motorcycle show, Wednesday 10.00pm ITV4+1. There was some beuts on there. Good luck with the project. Hi bud, I did see it and, with CBX's being a relatively small pool, knew some of the peeps there. The big lad with the glasses was Nigel, he r...

Hi from North Wales

Hi everyone, Been here for a short while getting a feel for the site. Already talked to a couple of members via PM's about their bikes and seems like a friendly bunch :D . I've had big Kawasaki's in the past (I'm wrong side of 50 :( ) and ride a ZZR14, on my 3rd one now, as a daily ride when the wea...
