Re: Z1000 Air filter

I had the same problem even with a new genuine air filter (Z1000A2), let alone the aftermarket one.......they both require a little manipulation via a slight crushing of the top. I couldn't believe i had to do this with a genuine filter but apparently we have too.

Re: Z1 Doremi Exhausts 4x4

Paul, I already have a set fitted to my z1000 (which now need renewing, hence the interest), I'm just trying to clarify if they have the silver paint around the joins of the down pipe to main pipe, or do they have some form of clamp instead? Would you happen to have a picture of the joins?

Re: Z1 Doremi Exhausts 4x4

Hi Paul, I'm interested in those pipes. Just wondering if they are the same as the ones fitted to my z1000, mine seem to have silver paint around the joins where the down pipe meets the main exhaust. Are yours the same or do they have a clamp etc?

Re: Sprocket Tab Washer - again !

Hi Dave, the offset sprocket will be machined to take the lock washer. Yes, big tyres. It’s a 180 rear and 120 front. It only fits on the rear due to machining work. The wheels are magnesium from Dymag. The hubs are removable and can be machined by Dymag or remade to suit. I had a new hub made and a...

Re: Sprocket Tab Washer - again !

I've managed to get one of those lock washer kits, so will go down that route with the offset sprocket rather than the pin/grub screw.

Re: Sprocket tab washer

Thanks Warren…..I am now learned
Ok, so the grub screw would just wind in and out in a thread. How would the spring pin come out? Would I have to drill through the sprocket completely, therefore enabling the pin to be knocked out?
