Hi guys, finally finished my project but one last thing to resolve. How do i stop my sprocket bolt from coming undone. It's not a standard sprocket, 5/8 offset. Any ideas would be grateful.

Re: Pressure
So, if you replaced the blue glove with a k+n filter, would there be a potential for oil to be blown out of the filter?

Chain tensioner wheels
Just finished building my project and it looks like I need some sort of extra tensioning, such as a nylon wheel setup I've seen occasionally on some bikes. Ginger Bear definitely fitted one to his bike but I cant find the thread that discus's this modification. Anyone have any ideas as to where i ca...

Re: Gpz1100B1 starter motor
When you say cb900, do you mean an old cb900 from the eighties or the new cb900 Hornet?

Re: Gpz1100B2 Rev counter
Well, I replaced the Rev counter. Will test it out tomorrow but the needle feels right and the battery voltage test appears ok. The failed one’s needle flops about

Re: Gpz1100B1 starter motor
Rob, I contacted Electrex as a first port of call. They don’t do a starter motor for the Gpz. I didn’t enquire about an overhaul kit though, will do tomorrow. I presume Lawson and Gpz use the same starter motor. I think you have stated that already(1015). I’ll look into an alternate battery too.

Re: Gpz1100B2 Rev counter
Thanks Rob, potentially one of those caps have gone short circuit then. I’ll do some checking. I have a spare Rev counter. Maybe I will just fit that one and see how it performs. How do I remove the Rev counter from the plastic body? Do I need to remove the needle/indicator first? And then clock fac...

Gpz1100B2 Rev counter
Just managed to get the bike started and seems to run fine. I noticed that the rev counter worked fine for a few minutes. At some point i noticed that it dropped to zero and then at some point it went to 12 000 rpm and stayed there. It seems to have settled at 8 000 rpm now. With the engine turned o...

Gpz1100B1 starter motor
Hi, i have a Gpz1100b1 engine with high compression pistons. I can only assume that it has a two brush starter motor due to it struggling to turn the motor over effectively. It will start but it seems to struggle. Does anyone know of any other starter motor that will fit but has much better torque??
