Hi Mike,the carbs look like standard carbs to me, the pipes between the carbs as you describe them should be breather pipes which go into the standard air box prior to filter, the single screw on the outer side of the carbs is the pilot circuit air screw these as a rule are 1 and 1/4 turns out plus ...

definately heat it up,i believe kawasaki used some sort of threadlock glue on these,it also means it should'nt have rusted solid,once the glue is warmed through the stud should come out reasonably easy.

Hi Chris,when the crank is on the T mark, the cut out on the right hand end of exhaust cam should be pointing towards the front of bike paralel with the head, and the cut out on the right hand end of inlet cam should be pointing towards the rear of the bike paralel with the head. this may be a silly...

Hi padders, i'm new to this, but i had z1000 gsi which is the same as a ltd,and the stancions are about an inch longer, i believe i still have them in the garage, they need to be rechromed but free to a good home if needed, just need to cover postage.
