As Martin said heads are getting hard to come by but I 've waited ages for certain parts to come up and they do eventually of course. Thanks again everyone for the kind comments. Fil, The downpipes are part of a Predator 4into 1 in stainless giving oil filter access. The end can was a fiver at Stafford off a GSXR 1000. I want to put on a matching CBR 600 front wheel but need to work out how to fit an electronic speedo drive to kee...

Finished enough to ride, MOT passed - last one was 2004 whoops , so it took 10 yrs never mind. Handling is devine compared to original. Well happy with looks aswell. :D

That's a mystery then. My 1100 ELR and Z1000J both have vacuum taps as standard to go with the CV carbs. I might just try my UNITRAK tank and tap to see if there is any difference.

Thanks for the reply Rob. I will look in to it more before I buy a pingel tap. I may still have to play around with main jet sizes. As you say you hav'nt had a problem with your ELR which sounds similar speck to my GPZ1170 . Cheers Nick.

Hi everyone, I presume a standard unitrak 1100 fuel tap has more flow than a Z1000J fuel tap as I have put my 33mm CRS on the J and it feels like fuel starvation on on or reserve- even on prime position its abit stutter when opened up. Al, it looks stunning, love the blue paint job and the wheels. I still hav'nt found anymore pics of the Blacknight but will carry on looking. Will put up pics shortly of my J. It really is just about finished now.

I haven't been there for over 15 years, used to go a lot in the 80s when living in Surrey. Must make the effort. Got had by a Police helicopter at 115 in 89 along the mickilman bends - well you don't look at the sky when riding a Zed do you.
