Mallory Festival of 1000 Bikes - 12-14 July - Anyone going

http://www.festivalof1000bikes.co.uk/ I was not sure if there was any official or un-offical Z1OC or general Zed meet organised around this.
I've been a couple of times before and it's a good day out. Is anyone else planning on going ?
Cheers

Ian, thanks for an enjoyable day out !
Really nice to see so many cracking Zeds turned out (apologies for the Italian Job - maybe one day I will get to use my Zed) and the Sun actually shone for us.
Cheers

Adrian: same for me - all hoses are at least 180mm too long and bottom ones have wrong banjo's Twozeds - my Z900 has high bars but A2 forks, calipers etc. and does defo need the longer 390mm top hose (as you say I think the lower bars use 360mm): I actually found an email from me to Hel asking if th...

   There were some nicely machined spacers fitted to accommodate the AP calipers - blind as a bat here did not see them tucked behind both discs. That said I am amazed it freed up the requisite space needed: but it did and the standards calipers fit a treat. Now just have to sort o...

Ian to quote Victor Meldrew - "I don't believe it": but my Zed had a final twist for me. Sometimes I know that bike hates me ! Having finally fitted new discs, calipers, splitter etc - I was shafted today, courtesy of Hel Performance Brakes, as the Z1000 A2 brake hose set provided does not...

Well I finally got my AP calipers off and my Kwak A2 Calipers all fitted and nicely aligned; final job (in readiness for the Skeggy Run on Sunday) was to simply fit my new Hel Performance brake hose kit. Imagine my joy when I discover all 3 hoses are the wrong length and 2 have the wrong banjo set u...

Yes, I'm removing AP's as they have warped my disks within 2000 miles First piccy is meant to be the "before" piccy with AP's, second was meant to be the "after" piccy with new (ish) disks fitted, new calipers, hoses etc but I had to abort after only fitting the disks. http://i11...

Thanks guys - this really has got me scratching my head, in between bouts of uncontrollable Tourettes  Problem I have is the space between the disk rotor and the inner fork leg is just too tight to accommodate the mounting plate. My bike has A2 fork legs, and I was fitting correct A2 Calipers ...

Fitting A4 Brakes - How can it be so fecking difficult

Ive been a few months getting, refurbed disks, calipers, new splitter, new hoses: came to fit all my shiny new bits this weekend; and to my "surprise" found there was not enough clearance between the disks and the fork leg to mount the "caliper carrier" :confu :turd :turd :dead2 ...

I got so fed up with the cheap repro ones fitted to my A4, last week I raided the piggy bank and bought some new genuine ones, which have made a big improvement !

A4 Front Brake Switch Fitting

Just converting my A4 brakes back to standard, fitted the brake splitter, came to fit the front brake light relay and it does not seem to want to locate correctly in the splitter. I don't want to rip the threads or over-tighten it, but it is a long way from sitting flush. Can anyone please provide a...

Andy, there is a lay-by on the A16 (on the left about 2 miles around), that the bikes must go past on the way to the Skeggy roundabout: I intend joining on the back of the convoy as they sail past. Unless its pi55ing it down, or my weekend gets royally screwed by other factors (I have a pre commitme...

Ian, just looked at the route and it make sense for me to meet the Zed cavalcade on route: probably when you join the A16 at Louth.
That's assuming I ever get my fecking Zed's brakes fixed

Gavin When we were chatting earlier, this was the show I was talking about: http://www.classicbikeshows.com/showindex.asp?showcode=nbb13 That said, it doesn't look much of a bonzana to me - think I'll check the what else is scheduled nearer the time. Ted, apologies for the hijack Cheers Tim
