Nice! Been researching "adventure" bikes for my trip to America as one of the things I want to do cross some desert and do some wilderness riding, I came across this worrying problem with some BMW's. bike with 95 miles on the clock 2011 model! and another! Some more Sobering stuff :shock:...

Cheers I'm not sure if it should be 6v of resistant though or if the block is faulty. I'm slightly ignorant of this but my impression was that the + terminal on both coils should give 12v and as they are wired to the block which I am told is there to provide a safety mechanism for the coills I was ...

You might need Avgas for that compression, you could use thicker base or head gaskets which would drop compression.

No mufflers would normally lead to a lean/weak mixture.
I presume u have a 900 with 1015 barrels this would also make it run weak
