I've just used wet and dry on a frame and the numbers came up clear enough to be legible so I could read them and apply for the V5.[/quote]

just a thought have your tried lightly sanding with fine grit wet and dry the frame ? I had this with a frame and as you flat and sort of polish the steel it started reveal the numbers really just depends on how the frame was messed with I guess the police used to acid frames to see the old numbers ...

do you have Tony Sculpher Z1R book page 139 Tail piece lock cover installation with pics on page 140
he says this not covered in any Kawasaki Manuals he has a step by step guide to how to do it

hopping to get down to wales to pick it up over the long weekend
I have half an idea the Pic's are telling lies with the quality of the paint work
have zoomed in on the wheels and my 16 year old boy would have done better

You may have to change the support bracket to a z1000 one. Can't remember.

some where I thought I read that if fitting a Z1000 a1 air box to a 900 a4 you had to change the battery box
I may well be wrong or they many have been talking about putting in an earlier model

Looks like a decent basis to start with. The 2:4 style seat may not be to your liking but will make strong money if you choose to move it on :) it may be the real thing with a poor cover or a poor copy from the USA as I have seen seats like this before or could be home made out of a ST base we will...

Very nice! And that RC Eng. If you can Save the tin seat base do, i believe new ones are not metal new Foam is available and seat covers, try to get them together from the same place I was told by a trimmer if the old foam has been cut up you can or someone can Glue new bit on to it and get it back to stock shape or if its had...

Dave, the best person that knows about the MK2 and ST is Philippe he is doing a post on the differences between the two bikes I was talking to him about Using a ST loom before I found them new for my MK2 as i could find second hand ST looms and Not MK2 I think that just may be the standard looms are...
