Got my barrels on and starting to see some real progress until we hit a problem with a replacement rotor and the starter clutch. Whilst I try and sort a solution to the broken rotor I thought I would loosely assemble everything lurking around the garage just to see what the finished bike might look ...

Gpz1100 - A2 Rotor

Desperately needed rotor for Gpz1100A series engine. Kawasaki part number 21007-1076. Whilst it looks identical to the one fitted to earlier engines (21007-1036) they must be different as when I tried swapping for the one fitted on my 1100B engine the starter clutch will not turn. Part number is lis...

Yahoo! :D They are on..... With thanks for all the advice; an extra pair of hands who was not bothered about their finger nails and some tie wraps did the trick. I've now got something that looks like a bike coming together. Watch out for new pictures in the project section later when the fog clears...

the guy who bought my GPz off me used a company called Traderbike based in Newcastle to collect from near Swindon and deliver to Leeds. Apparently they shift bikes all round the country for dealers but they might take a private job. It took them a couple of abortive attempts to turn up but eventuall...

Cheers both! Tried the fingers as this was the advice in the Clymer manual. Managed to get one piston in which then popped out when I tried to do the other. Also tried the other suggestion but with plastic milk cartons and jubilee clips. I was trying to do it myself so will get a little helper this ...

I spent all day Sunday mucking about with jubilee clips, cut up plastic containers and tie-wraps, blocks of wood and lots of cursing. Hi Plumba!

Looks really good!

Interested to know what you did for the oil cooler take off. I need to mate mine to an Earl's cooler but Earl's no longer do the take off unless they produce a one off and you can imagine the cost!

Crankcases back together, sump on and ready to slot in to the frame! So glad I took loads of pictures of the selector forks etc on gearbox or it would never have gone back in the same way. The most surprising thing was that I had no bits left over when everything was built :D . Very unlike me! Even ...

DOH! You know it helps to put the fairing brackets on in the right place

Put them in front of the top yoke and everything lines up perfectly. Guess who feels a pratt!

Pasc, they are AP twin piston calipers. As you can see from the pictures they are close but seem to be ok. They came off eBay but not sure how old they are because they dont seem to appear on the AP website. http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/pp174/stevensmj/DSCN2586.jpg http://i409.photobucket.com/...
