Re: Z1A Rear Shock Absorbers

[quote="Curlywurly"]Hi I have a pair of these which came with some spares with a Z1 I recently purchased, the bodies have been re-chromed, but not the top plastic chrome part The number 33 is visible on One of them, think the polisher may have polished out the number 33 on the other One Th...

Z1A Rear Shock Absorbers

A long shot I know, but I am looking for a pair of genuine USA spec Z1A rear shock absorbers (Part No 45014-072), date coded 33 to 38. This overlaps with the production run for late Z1 so a pair of Z1 with the same date stamp would also be OK.

Any condition will do - tokens etc waiting.

Used Z1/A/B seat cover

Has anyone got an old seat cover from a retrim or thinking about recovering a Z1A/B seat in the near future? I am after some original vinyl to repair a Z1A seat rather than recover the whole seat - so I want a good match with the original cover grain.

Tokens etc waiting.

Re: Z900 - 27mm Axle Wrench

Andrew - If Chris does not have one, I may be able to find you one later this week. I am loathe to say for certain that I have one- the last time I made that claim, I then could not find the part

The Z900/1000 use upper case letters.

+1
The wrench in the first post is likely to be '80s vintage. Genuine Z/KZ wrench will be capital K logo and upper case name, plus size indicated vertically.

Hot running problem: sequential diagnosis

My Z900A4 has recently started to run very rough once it gets hot - sounds like it's on one or two cylinders, will not tick over, struggles to restart while hot, only gets going again after 10 minute cool down. The plugs (all four) are very sooty at this point. Starts from cold on the button, warms ...

Re: Z900 stator lead grommet

Thanks guys.
Yes - I have done RTV down the wires but the leak is not caused by wicking. The grommet has been split in the past and looks to have been glued together, so I need a new one.
In the absence of a part no, I did not think of a parts supplier. Now have one on order.

Z900 stator lead grommet

Has anyone got or knows where I can get the grommet that fits into the left hand generator casing and allows the stator lead to pass through? It is not listed as a Kawasaki part. Mine has been mangled in the past and doesn't seal. I have RTV and Kawabond - but would like to make a better job of repa...

Re: East Anglia rally June 23 to 25

Well done to Chris for the suggestion to ride over anyway. Joined ChrisU, Garth, Phil and Chris for lunch at the Fox at Finchingfield. Brilliant ride over - I had been told the B1058 from Bulmer Tye to Castle Hedingham was a nice road. It's an excellent twisty country road. When I got in I made up t...

Pair of exhaust clamps with screws - Z1/Z900

As the title says, I need a pair of 4 into 4 exhaust clamps, with screws, to complete a fitting kit. Part No 92037-103 (the clamps that connect the top and bottom exhausts - not the clamps that hold the headers in)
Anyone with a pair for sale or know where I can buy a pair?
Beer tokens waiting.
