One bonus of splitting the cases was the discovery of a welded an balanced crank and after the old paint had been blasted off I noticed the top crankcase had been engraved with “Robert “ and a serial number, dunno what that refers to but it’d be nice to find out.

Next was a full strip down ready to change the powdercoat on the frame. Got a few daft quotes for stripping but in the end found some stuff on eBay called Powerstrip for £24 a gallon which fetched the coating off a treat. OOPS :shock: Don't know why the pic's come out upside down they're the right way round in the file lol. Anyway, after a bit of cutting and shutting the seat now sit's a couple of inches further forward and I've made an aluminium base and battery tray to bolt on so I don't have to cut the Magnum fram...
