Z1000A1 Rear Mc strip
Guys following a slight weep from a z thou a1 rear mc,have removed the piston and have a new gen one to fit but having difficulty removing the rubber cup which sits inside atop the spring inside the mc bore, any tips to remove without risking any damage?

Thats Great Adrian,explains why my set up is binding,my rotor is 7mm,new pads are supplied as 9mm or 8mm a piece plus 1mm for the anti rattle shims,that makes 7+8+8+1=24 at the best some pads are 7+9+9+1=26,both way over 22.6 as you state,whats the thickness of your rotor? are your pads thinner than...

Hi Lee,hows it going? Only ever used Viton or Gen oem Kawasaki seals meself,all the ones out of gasket sets i used in the past failed in very short order,pain in the arse when all the other work is good..Cheers Mate Paul J.

The coil/relay mod does work,its a get around the old leccies,no probs with dyna set up,glad you are making progress.Paul J

Grab the Wifes talcum powder and dust the engine ,you should see tracks of the leak,alternator leak is an old favourite,remove clean area in barke or carb cleaner and use Kawabond or Rtv to seal a new grommet.New gasket for the alternator cover,put bike on sidestand and you can get away with not dra...
