Nice one. I finished a full Z900 resto last year.
I have toms of parts if you get stuck for anything.

Re: Z1000a2 mag wheels.
Re: "wheels have a slightly different spoke design where the spoke meets the rim" Not the first time I've read this ! I think this is a reference to the later J series wheel design. I was not referring to J wheels. I have some photos somewhere of what I mean. Maybe the Z1r wheels I had we...

You need the same wheels as fitted to the MK2 and H. The Z1R wheels have a slightly different spoke design where the spoke meets the rim.

Still looking Sorry, still haven't unburied my exhausts... How you getting on with the digging ? Sorry have not been able to even get to them as I am so overwhelmingly rammed with stuff. Thankfully a couple of bikes are going in the new year, so I'll have room to move stuff to get to the pipes. Kee...

Sorry to hear you are another one added to the list of unfortunate suckers who have fallen fowl of Busso. I presume they asked you to pay by bank transfer? If not and you luckily paid by credit card, I'd get them involved to get a refund. I see Warren has already linked to the sad and sorry saga tha...

Re: Gasket Set
I'd always use OEM for head and base gasket and use a decent aftermarket for everything else.
Avoid the repro complete set from Z-Power as the quality on those is shocking now. Really thin and poor shaping. Last set I used just didn't seal properly.
Athena are good in my experience.

Thank you for the welcome.
Interesting proposition regarding the Z900 parts. What parts are missing and how much do want for the parts?
Kind regards,
Mark

Welcome,
If you have the skills and the money to spend, I have pretty much a complete Z900 in parts. Been collecting for years, but I've decided that as I have other more interesting projects, I'd be willing to sell any or all of it.
