So long as the slide moves freely and doesn't have any chatter, then it's not essential.

Re: Z900A4 float levels

I do have a very early colourtune which provably has not been used for around 40 yrs. Re: Z900A4 float levels

Hope you finally have this resolved.
NOTE.
There are many sellers advertising Keyster kits and actually selling cheap Chinese stuff. Keyster kits come in red and blue branded boxes.

Re: new member

Welcome to the club.
Not sure what sort of Z900 you are after, but I finished a full resto for my best mate and he is selling it now I believe. He's based near Bradford.

(Ordered via ebay before I read the above reply)

Cheers. You've still purchased them from me anyway, so thanks.

Re: Carb Fuel Tee Pieces

Currently have the carbs off and now notice that there are small cracks in the rubber on the fuel tee pieces between the carb pairs (part 16046-002) They probably still seal but I think they need changing. So, Kawasaki genuine ones are about £28 each https://www.z-power.co.uk/carb-t-piece-nipple-z1...

Re: Z900A4 float levels

Re: Z900A4 float levels

26mm from the base of the carb body. then when re-assembled fill with fuel and check actual fuel levels. (As correct float height doesn't always equate to correct fuel levels).

Just seen this post as I have been away on holiday.
If you get stuck get in touch, I'm happy to offer advice. I have refurbished/rebuilt lots of Z900 carbs.
I also supply Keyster rebuild kits, spares and gaskets.
