stretch Limo

Bought this recently for the winter. Its apparently got a new wiseco 1170 kit in it. If this turns out to be true it will find its way in to my Gpz11. Sounds really good, no smoke or rattles, in for MOT on Friday. http://i1259.photobucket.com/albums/ii548/pluto12341/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_3293_zpsvxxk...

Kojaycat do laminated A3 colour wiring diagrams that are excellent, they can even be read without glasses on. They list a 1000j but their website is being updated so you may need to ring to order.

I had to undo the rear engine mount adjuster bolt on my Zxr750 recently, it is a large hollow steel bolt and was firmly stuck in the alloy frame. I heated (with a map gas blow torch) and cooled the area a few times then heated again and melted a candle on to the threads, the idea is the wax is sucke...

I'm going. At the end of season Cadwell classic day I spoke with quite a few Classic Bike Trackday regulars who were expressing a very negative point of view, mainly due to the lack of track time and the expense versus a normal trackday. Al sent me a link to what the racers thought of Snetterton las...

Fast idle lever is just that, it operates a cam that opens the throttle a bit, doesnt richen the mixture for starting though. That's taken care of by the engine temp sensor and possibly if its really cold outside by the air temp sensor in the airbox. If it wont start and it is DFI related then clean...

Hello and Welcome, I'm another Devonian but now living in Somerset. I've got some B1 spares tucked away including a complete cylinder head and an exceptional fuel tank, there's other stuff too, let me know what you're after.

Hi Rob, the 1100 unitrac forks are 37mm diameter, the gpz b2 has 38mm forks which is the same as the J I believe, these use a 1/2 inch square drive to get them in and out and arent too pretty, you never see them on the b2 because the handlebar clamp bolts screw in above them.

If you want to borrow another set of carbs to eliminate engine issues you can try mine. They have the dynojet kit on and are set up to work with k and n oval filters on my Gpz1100 with 1170 kit and unitrac cams, I get no hesitation or flat spots at all. Bike is in bits so no need of them for a few d...

That's chuffing out a lot less than it did at Spa! As you say the head bolts not done up wouldnt have helped but it was producing quite an impressive smoke screen when you shut off going in to corners.

Cadwell classic trackday 23 September

Hi All,
Looks like there are still places available in steady and quick groups. I will be on my zxr750, its open to all bikes up to 1994. Went last year, a good day with some very special bikes out on track. Anyone else going?

i run 34mm cv carbs with filters and dynojet air correction kit for a z1000j on my b2, it runs really well, they are off the z1100 shaft so dont have the 1000j run on device on the carb bodies. My brother runs the same set up on his B2 but we had to up the pilot jet. As long as the carbs are not sho...
