Dave, honestly, that is exactly what Dave Marsden advised me to do, and "not waste my money buying new mirrors". I cant think there are many businesses who would try and save you money, rather than just sell you something. I did try the "bodge" first and they still where sh1te - ...

If you get stuck I just bought a pair NOS Z1 Mirrors from Z Power. I could not see a bloody thing in my old pattern ones due to vibration blurring: but the Kwak genuines (although not cheap) work a treat.

Thanks for the responses guys. Jeff, thanks I'll carryout the tests you suggested (today I fitted new plugs, plug caps and trimmed the HT leads): current problem I have is an intermittent misfire or zero running on number 3 pot: I have compression, my carbs were recently checked over, set up and bal...

Coils ? Dyna's or Standard

Chaps advice please: having some issues (as always) with my A4 (sometimes I know my bike hates me) and might have to replace the coils. Was unsure whether to fit some new standard units (from Uncle Dave), or push the boat out and go for a set of Dyna's :?? :?? My bike rarely gets thrashed or does bi...

Freddy, sounds like a cunning plan ! Not sure when you would be passing ? I guess you'll be coming down the A46 ?? as the A46 dual carriageway hits the Lincoln bypass there is a roundabout (at North Hykeham just after the Thorpe on the Hill slip road), with a Travel lodge, Little Chef and Esso forec...

I even plan on being on my Zed for a change   although there's still time for my Zed to throw a wobbly (as is the norm) ! Cheers Tim

Ted, Should be going, but not sure if I might be in my car: I've offered to take my mate (if he's well enough) after he had a recent heavy prang on his R1 - I cant believe what 60 mph does to denim, skin, muscle etc If he's not up to it I will be going on the Zed and will meet you on route . Cheers ...

It was a "hel" of a fight but I finally managed to get my refurbed disks, calipers, splitter etc etc on my Zed. Dealing with Hel Brakes has been a less than pleasant experience: first I got wrong hoses, then they sent me the correct hoses but wrong banjo bolts   They will alway...
