Re: Spa Classic 2017

Another Spa cock up from me. Instead of managing to film my one and only session i must have hit the wrong mode on the camera and came away with one still as a memory of a long and wet weekend.

Re: Rockingham 12th aug saturday no limits

Here's a video of me on one of the sessions in lower group. Camera positioning was not great as i attached to crash bung on the left frame rail. I was riding a Bimota SB6R so being very restrained; falling off this and damaging unobtainable bodywork does not bear thinking about. I really enjoyed my ...

Re: gpz900r buying advice

Robw ran a GPz900 for many years. He's your expert. I briefly flirted with 900 ownership a few years ago. There's a very active and healthy forum based out of UK for them with loads of buyer advice. They also re-manufacture some of the obsolete parts. Overheating issues is one to watch. Run the bike...

Re: Brackley bike festival 13th aug

All, Croz passed it's MOT yesterday so is still vaguely street legal. Having not been before is there somewhere that Z owners tend to park up? I am under pressure from she who must be obeyed to attend to some DIY tasks for my ancient mother in law. Given the level of tolerance she has shown me this ...

No Rob. Going to take the Bimota. See how it performs after all the money spent at PDQ last year. Can't really do it justice on the road.

Enjoy Spa btw!

PS booked Motorcycle Live tickets earlier for 25th November

Re: Larger oil cooler

I have a 13 row cooler on my bikes. It's quite an expensive job all in though as you'll need to change the take offs, lines (with appropriate fittings) and cooler plus buy a mounting bracket. Earl's is the name most gravitate to but they are mega expensive. I use Mocal or Setrab. Slightly cheaper bu...

I'm planning on going. Will take the Croz replica if I get time to get the MOT renewed next week.

Re: Unitrac offset sprockets

I can relate to that! Mine came off at Donington. Apparently they are infamous for it. Lock washer is still available from Kawasaki. Off set sprockets then Chris at Grumpy or Debben will see you right. BTW unbeknown to me when my sprocket let go the chain chewed in to the lower frame rail like a cha...

I have a Domino fast action throttle on one of my track day bikes. That version is twin cable but they do other versions.

That'll work. Same size as mine but the mounting brackets supplied by DTR are very different hence not right for the ELR.

Call you shortly to sort.

Re: Steering damper J and maybe R maybe 1100B's

Al, i'll most likely have that off you. Can i just check the measurement of the damper first though? I bought one recently from DTR and it proved to short in terms of range of extension for my ELR. Don't want to end up with 2 the same. Will give you a call to sort out.

Re: Petrol tank liners (again!)

Something I can relate to here! My Harris has a tank that was previously lined. When drained and dried the old liner came away in sheets and chunks. I'd had some repairs made to where I understood it to be leaking and have had a very expensive show standard respray. After a weekend left with fuel in...

Re: Spa Classic 2017

Final straw. Just went to upload the one and only video I thought i capture from the Drift cam on Friday only to find I had it in stills mode. Great static photo of the inside of my fairing.

I think i shall retire to my room and not come out again until 2018. Annus horribilis to date

Re: Spa Classic 2017

Well done Phil thanks for taking the time to do that, some real monsters there. Martin what happened? Not fork seal again! AL Oil cooler cracked on my first session spraying the bike and me with oil. Luckily it must of happened right at the end as none reached the tyre. I spent the rest of Friday t...
