Re: Z900 airbox
You would think someone would be reproducing these by now seeing as they are so rare and everyone wants one, spoke to John Browse and he reckons a good one can fetch £800 so the demand is obviously there. Re: VMJC at the Ace: Sunday 3 Sep.
Me and 'Dangerous Dave' (Z1) will be leaving Farnham at about 8am riding directly to the Ace as it's only about 40 mins away - thought we could catch up with members there or meet on route (M3, M25, A40, South Circ), although not too many places to stop on that route.

Re: Picked up a CBX and met the owner of Phil Churchett's old Z1B
Phil didn't have a Z1B I'm sure. He did have a diamond green Z900A4 though, is that what you meant? I own Phil's old Z900, see the link in my sig block - I believe Phil also owned a Z1B which, according to an article by Steve Kent (club mag Winter 2010), Steve rode it to keep the wheels turning dur...

The guy I spoke to lives in Leatherhead, Surrey and said it was Phil's old Z1B so maybe Sean sold it?

Picked up a CBX and met the owner of Phil Churchett's old Z1B
Picked up a 79 CBX 1000 today from Mark Hutton which my mate 'Dangerous Dave' Gilroy has bought to add to his growing bike collection, which includes his 73 UK Z1 - had a good ride on it, it's a heavy bit of kit but it goes like stink with the 6-cylinders just howling above 6,000 rpm.......... Whils...

Many thanks - couldn't see how it could be more difficult than that, but you never know!

UK Z900 rear wheel removal
Once the chain is disengaged and axle bolt removed do I simply push the wheel forward and remove it on the tilt to get it past the long rear mudguard to remove the rear wheel from a UK Z900 - or is there a technique I need to know?

Re: Stafford show October
I'm looking forward to Stafford, particular as I've only displayed at classic car shows for the last 35 years - me and 'Dangerous Dave' (73 UK Z1) will bring the bikes up in a van and kip in it overnight rather than camp. Is there usually anything planned for the Friday and Saturday evenings? Cheers...

Andrew make sure its the one with the outlet pipes at right angles to each other a correct for an a4...Paul J Paul, thanks for the tip - I'll make sure it is when it arrives. If your present one is a gen tap then stick it on ebay as it'll fetch decent money. As I'm sure many will confirm the patter...
