Hi Ultim8pc you're right, they are the same but with different stampings. On the underside of the frame of my MK2 there are mounting points allthough the original MK2 exhaust I have doesn't have lugs to attach them with bolts on there. Philippe, thanks for your knowledge as ever. So just to clarify...

Can anyone confirm that I am right in thinking that the exhaust from the z1000J is the same as the MK2 but with different part number and stampings?

As you have found, not available new anymore.
You don't need these for the bike to run. They are just little extenders which allow you to easily adjust the airscrews while the carbs are on the bike. But you can still adjust them with short screw driver.
