Quick question battery tray
Stripped out my A1 battery tray for a refurb, the plastic box has what appears to be the remains of a stuck on pad ... was there a pad under the battery originally?.....FYI a soaking in Wd40 took the residue off

Battery tray
On changing the battery on my Z1000A1 I noticed the battery tray has the first stages of rust forming, could easily touch it up but think I would like to get it out,treat it properly and catch any bits of corrosion I couldn’t see ... is it a big job , I am a mechanical nightmare, I will be stripping...

Getting it out is a breeze with a like-size drift/punch and gentle tapping. Putting it back in a freshly painted tank will make you sweat more! Hadn’t thought that far ahead .... bugger already thinking bubble rap and tape Avoid bubble wrap and tape on fresh paintwork, the tape is likely to etch in...

Petrol cap removal
Hiya had a look can’t find anything elsewhere, need to remove my petrol cap and guess I have to drift out the pin in the hinge? One side looks pretty dilapidated... how does it come out will I need a new one?
