Dont know if relevent but i fitted the the snorkel part of the air box as I finaly managed to get hold one off eBay.
Started first press and on all 4 cylinders
Had to adjusted tickover and now seems to run better.

Good shout Mr Pigford,
Changed the large breather O Ring, no more oil on the top of the gearbox
Just a slight weep on the alternater wire grommet now

Has anyone removed an headlight rim Stanley 001-0877 that is no longer required.
I would like to keep the original UK Headlight but the rim has deep grazing to one side.

Hello, I am missing the welded bracket that holds the steering damper onto the Z1a frame. :( This is the same bracket that went on to be used on both sides of the Z900 & Z1000a1 / a2 to hold the reflectors. I could make similar unless anyone as any idea where I can get one from ?? Ideas thanks :...

Just spent a couple of hours in my garage fitting the swinging arm. Removed the box section one and fitted the swinging arm that I got with the bike, all went well.. Just had a quick look. The swinging arm has a needle bearing each side with a sleeve that is held between the two bearings. There is then an inner sleeve that runs the full width of the swinging arm inside the bearings. So I guess in this guise the grease could not go anywhere even if there was a gr...
