I am not one for the stretched look, but I like every thing else about this bike, that's a cracking paint job and great work, hats off Ian.

Re: Persistant bubbles in master cylinder reservoir
Don't pull the lever all the way to the bar and pull just over half way and release slowly, been using this method to get the last bits of air out for years, longest I've ever spent is around 40 minutes doing this job.

Frame rear footrest and exhaust hangers are different to the A series thous, the Ltd's are more akin to the earlier 900 models, it's all academic unless your a total rivet counter.

On this one rear wheel and mudguard, front mudguard, seat and grabrail, headlight ears, handlebars, front master cylinder, rear caliper, tank, exhaust, possibly some other bits, but it looks bloody nice any way, my own ltd is further away from stock.RussG wrote:What’s changed to convert from an ltd?

Re: Carb assistance please
I think first you need to make sure valve settings and other basic settings are correct, then make sure what model carbs you have, then we can give you some base settings for it, are you running an original airbox?
Re: hi all
The carbs look to be 28mm, and the head is a Z1 classic head so would have been fuel injection, i had one myself but the injection was a pain so i got converted to carbs, looks like the original seat has gone as it would of been stepped and bloody ugly.

Re: Starting on 3 cylinders
On the odd occasion it happens and it's down to when I park up without running the fuel ot of carbs with tap off, but years ago I had the same thing with another Z and it took a couple of years to solve, I put a stock exhaust on it and it never happened again.

Skid Mark wrote:z1bman wrote:it looks like smoke to me its too dense to be condensation
It does look and smell like smoke to be fair.
There will be a lot of water in that motad if it's not been having good runs to dry it out inside, the condensation will smell of smoke, after all it has exhaust gasses in it.
Re: Carbs
Skid Mark wrote:Here's a picture of the Exhaust smoke, to me it looks white. So I'm guessing its getting too much fuel
white is condensation, blue is oil and black is fuel.
