Cheers fer that Mr Pigford, eased my mind a little. Bikes looking good there Anuar :up keep us posted on its progress.

I'm sure other members with Z1000's using a similar set up as yours - Tarozzi rearsets / bigger swingarm will have had a similar problem with the master cylnder rod. You could always post in 'Bike help' for possible solutions.

How have you got the surface on the engine covers? Sand blasting? How will they withstand normal use of the bike (not have the pores filled up with grease/dirt?) What bike are the forks from? You happen to know the length? The engine cases / covers were glass bead blasted then painted in high temp ...

Rear wheel is GSXR1100M The rear sprocket carrier was machined down 7.5 mm to bring it in line. Its close between frame and tyre but it has 'even' clearance on both and the chain run is straight. Right thats me for now, probably look at the exhaust hanger next (need to cut it about and have it rewel...

So a while back id bought a chain riveter (bought at Machine Mart made by Laser) ......about time i used it. Front sprocket is 18T 5/8 offset Chain run.jpg Rear 40T made by Talon 3-1 (1).jpg So with the chain on ( a DID 50VM X Ring ) i could check frame / tyre clearances. Chain run1.jpg Chain run2.j...

Some added rubber bushes then raised the clocks slightly (the 3" risers werent helping here :roll: ) admittedly could of done with more of a kick angle but.... well yer makes yer choices so i'll stick with it.

I can now sort out the rear hanger bracket (another aftermarket Yam item) i'll need to cut it about a bit and have it rewelded and also sort the rear footpegs.
