Fantastic job you have done there Stempy,great to see someone doing bikes up that no one else really bothers with,without people like you these bikes eventually just seem to disappear,which is a shame as i remember when they came out and thought they looked fantastic.Keep up the good work. :D

Thanks for the help,camcover now fitted,the damper rubbers on mine all seemed to be the same thickness,they are not new but in pretty good nick so just re used them.

Hi PJ,
Carbs are off,just been fitting some new inlet rubbers so will try again,i know in the past it's been a bit of struggle to get the camcover on,just this time it seemed like it just wasn't going to fit at all,maybe i drank to much at the weekend... :oops: ,

I have got rid of the workbench,the garage floor is far better to work on!!! :idea:
I've just got to put a bit of metal filler in one or two places that didn't have quite enough weld ,then a good clean and resprayed,once it's back on the bike i don't think it will look too bad.

Thanks for the link stephen,ive taken the head off now and taken it to a local engineer that was recommended to me by a mate who's had a few bike casings welded up by him,so hopefully should get it back fairly soon,will post photos when i do.Thanks for the replies. :)

Thanks for all the replies,mick you are right,gonna take the head back off and do the job properly,theres a few engineering firms local to me so will take it to one of them get it welded and get on with finishing the rest of the bike while its getting done,will post some photos when its all finished...
