No, the spring rate is the spring rate. You need to be measuring the static and laden sag to determine if you need the spacers. On an Ltd I'd say 15-20mm static sag, with 40-50mm laden. I didn't mean to be rude, but you're not going to be in the fast group at a track day on an Ltd, are you? :...

Cheers Al, I'm enjoying the tweaking, I have to say! :) I was careful with the strap wrench and held it as close to the starter gear as I could to try to protect the magnets. It's still charging so all is well at the moment... My damper is the thinnest (one star - 6.3mm), and I was going to either g...

It's been a quiet week at work, but a busy one in the garage! A manual camchain tensioner was chucked at it, which made no difference but at least meant I could get shot of the butchered auto tensioner that was in there. Today I knocked up a bracket for an old Sprint steering damper that I had kicki...

To be honest Al, that sounds a lot better than I would expect for an ord Zed - I would've expected a lot more issues than you've described. You're always pushing the front hard into Mansfield anyway, but I would normally take it as you do to get the drive down to the chicane and not push the front a...

A lot more progress this week as one of my jobs (a night shift) has been postponed. My bolts and disc spacers arrived, and an inmate on here had a swinger for sale that I just couldn't refuse, and here is the outcome.... http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l125/Coosey/Zed/DSC_7955_zps9z9zybyv.jpg http...

Kerker exhaust badge
Evening all,
Does anyone know of anyone who supplies the rivet-on Kerker exhaust badges for sensible money, or does anyone have one kicking about that they'd like to part with?
Cheers,
Coose

A bit more progress today. Luckily the job in Wales I'm working on has ground to a halt so I was home a day early (though I don't get paid for today.....). So, having got home last night I was greeted by a big pile of parcels. In two of them were a pair of Grimeca calipers, and in another was some 8...
