Re: 650b2 carb issue

Yes the ignition was next up for me, I replaced the carb boots yesterday just in case, just the same, that's easier than taking the bloody carbs off again.

The needle position is wrong .
On the 650 it should to be 4th from the top so it needs lifting a notch.
Also have you had your choke plunger seats done ?

Yes you did the plungers, I thought the manual said 3rd notch, will double check, cheers

650b2 carb issue

Hi guys, I have an annoying stutter from closed throttle to opening it up, soon goes but annoying, carbs stripped and blown through, and cleaned, notch 3 on needles, all stock jets and air box, only thing not stock is the patten silencers, could it be I need to change the pilots? Tia.

Re: z500 Project

Levels with a clear tube if I'm not mistaken, just swap the overflow pipe with clear tube, should do the trick. Cheers - I'd think drain valve not overflow, but you need a special adapter for that. If I remember right, when you undo the drain screw the fuel runs out the overflow tube, stick a bit o...

It will only leak with engine running because the flow is on from the vacuum tap, sounds like the needle valve is passing. 1.6 size if I'm not mistaken. Should be same as mine

Re: Z400

Hi David, Welcome to the Z400 project club. I’ve just bought maybe 2 3/4 Z400’s as projects for this year. I’ve got a complete D3 which runs and is road legal. It’s tatty but I’ve been out on it and it goes reasonably well. I’ve also got another 76 and a load of spare bits, so plenty to be going at...
