That’s perfect
• 26mm Makuni’s Air screws in the side
• Original 4 into 4 exhausts
• Jets as spec
• All air filters as original.

I’ll wind them in a tad.

Q. Will that make it run hotter?

No, the opposite surprisingly.

Re: possible cylinder head issue

As soon as you loosened the cylinder head nuts you've released the pressure, the seal will be broken/compromised, I my book you have no choice but take the head off and replace the head gaskets, you will also have to replace the barrel gasket as oil gets between crankcase and barrel were it travels...

Re: possible cylinder head issue

It might not be too late, before you take the head off try re-torqing it.

Slacken the nuts off in the reverse sequence shown then re-tighten half a turn at a time as shown until the correct torque on each nut is reached.

You have nothing to lose

Re: Engine searching

Hunting is usually a sign of a weak mixture. Try another 1/4 turn on in on the mixture screw and see if it settles.

nitro zorsts are a blatant attempt at copying pops yoshimuras originally, hand fabricated masterpieces If you mean this one Mark, it is 4 into 2. You just need to fabricate a 'dog leg' bracket to span the gap

Agree with Johny that some spitting when cold is fairly normal. If it's still doing it when warm then my original advice still stands. Mine 'coughs' through the exhaust a bit when cold but my thoughts are are that spitting back through the carbs implies an inlet valve is opening during combustion o...

Sounds like valve timing may have slipped. Don't try to start it until this and shim gaps are checked as per the service manual

Interesting - their MSDS data sheet only describes it as 'PROPRIETARY BLEND OF ORGANIC MATERIALS'. Maybe they don't want people to know :stfu :hon

I like that!

FYI the acidity of the Phosphoric Acid in Cola is only around 0.017%. I am not too sure that sugar ads much to the process. Unless you intend to drink it after

Re: petrol tank clean

The active ingredients are dilute Phosphoric Acid in cola and dilute Hydrochloric Acid in Harpic

The Hydrochloric removes rust while Phosphoric converts it to a stable material ferric phosphate.

Bio preparations are less hazardous and work well.

Nice genuine bike. I quite like the straight bars and fairing.
