Progress
1st things 1st, clean, clean, clean, vapour blast. Good job that work has a degreaser and a few blast cabinets. Many an hour spent after work cleaning and blasting all the engine casings. Here's some of them: [img] [img]http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c207/mikeandbron2012/IMG_0025_zps948dc260.jpg[...

The Strip-down
First thing I did when I got the bike back to my lair was to fully strip it all down and assess what I was dealing with. WANTED Z1000 CYLINDER HEAD
Mine off a Z1000A2 is basically toast (not economical to repair), so on the hunt for a good replacement. Needs to fit an A2, preferably a Z1000 head (I am assuming a Z900 head would also fit, but combustion chamber would be smaller??). Would prefer no fin damage, cracks, thread repairs or damaged th...

Harris 4 into 1
I am looking for a Harris 4 into 1 works system for Z900/Z1000, but must be painted steel, not chrome.
May have something you want to swap, or will pay cash.

On the hunt for a wiseco piston
On opening up the engine of my new project bike, a Z1000A2 was pleasantly surprised to find a Wiseco 1105cc piston kit inside. However my joy was soon tempered by the discovery of damage to piston no.4 where the top ring had broken up and wrecked the piston and bore. Head ok though. [img] [img]http:...
