Cam Cap Bolts
Chaps, what's the thoughts on the torque settings for the cam cap bolts. The book says 104lbs ft , but i though that was very high and yesterday had a mare when one snapped when i was torquing them up. Luckily i managed to get it out, but im now concious of snapping another one. Paul

Snapping springs???
Anyone had issues with centre stand springs that keep snapping on the looped end.
I'm on my second one now in a matter of months, the end that goes around the frame hole keeps opening up as if it's not strong enough . They are Zed Power so it's the right one, and at £10 each not the cheapest.

Recommended Oil
Hi Chaps, just after some feedback regarding the favourable oil for a A4. This will be a newly rebuilt engine, so I would be keen to know your preferred Oil type..?????
Re: A4 or A5

Re: A4 or A5
Thanksfor that Adrian, that makes interesting reading. If all A5 frame numbers range from 510341 -515578, that would make mine an A5 frame. I think! !!!!
A4 or A5
Whilst awaiting the arrival of certain parts on the current resto, ive been reading various Topics on A4 A5s. Which started me wondering what is mine. When i took possession of mine there was no paperwork only the Nova registration. I was informed it was a 76 A4, and the headstock stated 08/76. Engi...
