Hi Dean. never seen a frame number like that before. Thanks for that compo,
in my z1a handbook it clearly shows the early type (nut) drain plug, but pressume they changed the type of drain plug on later z1a's. :??

z1a carbs, poss wrong ones.

Can anyone let me know if all the carbs on the z1a were the same as the z1, ie big nut on the bottom of the float bowl. Mine is a late z1a but it has the screw type drain plug on the side off the float bowls,

Many years ago a mate i know had a z550, he snapped the throttle cable when he was out so swopped it round but did it the wrong way, we were up at devils bridge at kirby lonsdale, big meeting place for bikes, the idiot pulled a wheelie, shut the throttle , but because it was wrong way round flipped ...
