Not certain but I thought it needs a mechanical securing device for the MOT.

i.e. the 'R' clip.

'R' pin/Split pin not needed if using locking nut.
Virtually no modern machine uses R or split pins now as most use lock nuts.

KZT10B would be a GPZ1100B engine and probably the other too but it looks like the numbers are wrong and should be KZT10B also not ZT1BB.

Neither will drop in the Z1R as they are non kickstart 'J' type engines.

Also managed to get the ZR back wheel into my Metmachex arm.
Still looks period(ish) but vast improvement over the original set-up.

Think you meant to say ZR550 Zephyr.

Blanking off the vac port as you have is all that is needed. The hole leading to the venturi won't cause any running issues as it now goes nowhere. Sounds like a simple case of a partial blockage in the pilot circuit. On your carbs (which have the fuel mixture screw underneath) there are two pilot o...

The carbs with the twin fuel feeds are 1000a and can also be found on Suzuki GS's. The extra breather on number 3 is not a breather but the vacuum take off which goes to a vacuum fuel tap. You can tell if your 3 carb is for the vac tap as there will be a hole in the left wall of the venturi ( lookin...

That take off on 3 is usually the VAC for the fuel tap (same body but drilled different) but if it is a 2 or 4 then you can't run a STD 2 or 4 body in the 3 position. It has to be 1 OR 3 . That carb is still drawing in air from the side where the breather link pipe was connected to 1 or 3 and is cau...

I Presume it's the 3 piece oil ring.
You should be ok to re-use one of the old rings.
Put the used one at the lower end (bottom) of the expander.
You want the new one above the oil holes in the piston ring groove to have the best chance of keeping excess oil out of the combustion chamber.

Any cover will fit with that early type top idler which is why they are a popular design for aftermarket replacements. Sounds like there is something else going on . Can you actually get the top idler to bolt down or is the chain too tight for that. The over tight cam chain could be due to it not be...
